Welcome to the Strategies That Work 2 book chat. To subscribe please scroll to the bottom of this page. This book chat site will not be active until the facilitators post the first post on July 16. All postings prior to that will be held. Please read the following guidelines to help make this discussion a positive experience for everyone: PURPOSE/GOALS- We are coming together to read STW2 and to share our thinking (questions, connections, new learnings, aha's, challenges, etc.) along the way. Our reading schedule is as follows: Here is our reading schedule for this book talk: 1. July 16-July 22: Discussion focuses on Introduction and Part 1 2. July 23-July 29: Discussion focuses on Part 2 3. July 30-August 6: Discussion focuses on Part 3 4. August 7-13: Discussion focuses on final thoughts ETIQUETTE- To keep our conversations reflective, jot down your thoughts and share them with us as you read through the chunks of text each week. It helps if you quote the excerpt from the text first and then share your thinking. Just like we encourage our students to do, try to piggyback on something someone posts or build on previous thinking. It will be helpful if you remember to DELETE all of the previous post OR EDIT the previous post to a bare minimum of words that relate to your reply. This works better for all of us rather than just resending the entire previous email back through the server. When you would like to contact an individual directly please do so off list rather than onlist. Send "thank-you"s, "me too", "I agree", and personal questions/requests to the INDIVIDUAL. The individual's email information can be found in the email header. LENGTH OF CHAT: The STWchat email group will be terminated on August 13. We strongly encourage you to click on the link below to your subscription page. This page will let you enter your own custom password. Using Stw2chat
To post a message to all the list members, send email to stw2chat@literacyworkshop.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Stw2chat
Subscribe to Stw2chat by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
