[MOSAIC] vocabulary & word recognition

Word Journeys and/or  Words Their Way for roots, pre/suffixes.  How about Words Their Way, by Isabell Beck for Vocabulary Development.  We are doing weekly Text Talks, as described in WTW, using read alouds.  Even our Kinders are adding the new vocabulary to their speaking and written vocabulary!  One little Kinder wrote, " I peer out the window and see the playground."  (PEER being one of the text talk words.)  BTW, he had x'ed out "see" and wrote PEER instead!  Wow!  I was so proud:)
