[MOSAIC] first grade guided reading/independent reading

One thing I do to promote oral reading is to assign one page of a story to  a 
partnership of students.  They practice the page until they read fluently  
according to the rubric we made together.  Then everyone returns to the  circle 
on the floor and we read the entire story with each partnership reading  their 
page.  The kids enjoy this activity and no one is singled out at  all.
