Hi Joy,

The Discover America alphabet series seems to be written by a number of 
different authors; the Washington one is by Marie and Roland Smith. I took Lori's 
advice and bought a sports one: T is for Touchdown by Brad Herzog. This 
group appears to all be published by Sleeping Bear Press. I love alphabet books; 
like you said, they are very versatile and good for all levels, even adults! 
Another favorite title is Q is for Duck, an Alphabet Guessing Game....again, 
great for prediction and vocabulary development. Some, like the one you 
mentioned and the Discover America series, contain lots of interesting information 
as well. I like the Jerry Pallotta ones, too......
