[MOSAIC] Question for the group

I teach third grade and my students often do want to please me--I want to
please them also--it's the student teacher relationship--studies have shown
it is very important in helping children progress. Of course I don't want
them to read just to please me--but sometimes home isn't what it should be
and the teacher becomes the person a student wants to please.

I agree, but they shouldn't be doing it to please you, and that is what
extrinsic rewards do.
