Where do you teach?  I teach in NC and am also being required to teach  all 
this stuff.  We also are required to teach 60 minutes of literacy  stations, 
and cannot teach grammar, editing and/or writing during that time  period.  We 
have a total of 2 hours devoted to reading a day.  Well  needed, but 
unfortunately Science and Social Studies are really being  neglected.  
 
 
I would love to hear what you are doing each day.  There is a yahoo  group 
for Houghton Mifflin teachers as well.  I can give you the info if  you are 
interested.
