If you need to laminate things, ask at your teacher store, or at Staples, Office Depot, etc. The ones near me offer laminating rather inexpensively. One of the local colleges also has a laminator they allow teachers to use for a very small fee.

I taught second grade for three years prior to moving to fourth. I bought and laminated the Evan Moore books, and they are OK, but they are not my favorite. I found that either the students whizzed through them, or couldn't do them without assistance. Either way, it was a problem.

If you are going to do centers, I prefer Debbie Diller's Literacy Work Stations. http://www.debbiediller.com/

If you want to make your own games, this is an invaluable website: http://208.183.128.3/tutorials/gameboard.htm
