[MOSAIC] Collecting horror stories

Hi All, I put out the call before and only a few caught it.  I am collecting any stories you may have (first-hand) of textbook companies or administrators taking books out of your rooms or not allowing the use of any books beyond the texts.  If you have stories of such happenings in your school and classroom and you wouldn't mind sharing some info, I would greatly appreciate it.  I would like to go public with the info, but would, of course, keep all of you folks anonymous.
