Hi Bill,
Here are some of the books I've recently read for pleasure and recommend highly:
--Disobedience by Naomi Alderman - She is a British author. This is her first novel based on the Orthodox Jewish community she grew up in in London. Excellent book. I can't wait till she writes her next one!
--Between, Georgia by Joshilyn Jackson
--Rise and Shine by Anna Quinlen (I will read anything that Anna Quinlen writes.)
--We are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For by Alice Walker - a gem of a book, both spiritual and political at the same time. Alice Walker is one of my favorite authors.
Enjoy!
Elisa
PS I agree with you about Elaine's comments on her book.
Any other suggestions for summer
reading?
Bill
