I think time to devote to this learning is key - time to process with
another person. I agree with Ginger. Encourage the new teacher to join our
group! I know it helped me a great deal.
How would you feel about a whole class of new teachers joining the group?
My name is Nancy Creech. I used to be a member of the MOT listserv when it
first started.
This summer I am teaching a reading comprehension class to undergrads using
the old edition of Mosaic as one of the textbooks. The class starts next week
and I would like to make one of the requirements to post a question to the
listserv. I think listservs are one of the best methods of professional
development for teachers. When I first signed back on, I was thinking that maybe I
should have them sign on to the regular MOT list, but there was only
conversation on the list discussing the new edition. So what do you think? Should I
have them sign on to the regular MOT list? Would those of you on it be willing
to answer my undergrads questions? I would make sure they are familiar with
listserv etiquette. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Nancy Creech
