[MOSAIC] Island of the Blue Dolphins

I see this as a MUST read for all California children...if I had the
luxury of enough copies for all children...I would definitely read it
aloud, talk and discuss as the kids followed a long...If you read 1 or 2
chapters a day, it does not take that long and there are two many good
parts (cliff hangers) that I do not want kids to miss as they read it on
their own...I guess I like the drama of my own voice and knowing what is
coming...like the scary music in a movie...you know something eerie is
about to happen...

Check with your local library it might be available, then when the students who can read it are working you can have your strugglers listen to it while following along.
