Bill,
You are getting lots of good advice about instruction and I have agreed with all the ideas and have nothing to add, plus I am pretty sure you know anything that I know already.  Some years we get a group...let's just say... it happens, as if the stars willed it one particular year, or as if the water was bad or something.  Do all you can, but most importantly...find some friends and LAUGH, LAUGH, LAUGH. Laugh till you cry. It is the only way to maintain sanity.  And ultimately, if they are not wearing out your humor and happiness, they just might begin to wonder at your resilience. Then you will at least have them wondering:) Hang in there!
