I am currently teaching at a preschool for students with special
needs. One of my students has autism and is VERY engaged with books.
I think he is reading but can not tell because he talks strictly in
scripts of the books or movies that he has memorized. I have tried
checking his comprehension with picture choices from the stories to
accompany my questions but wondered if anyone had any other ideas for
me. I want so badly to be able to show his Kindergarten teachers for
next year that he is very literate and helping him to show his
comprehension skills is the first step in doing so!

Thank you in advance :)

Jenn
