I am a huge advocate for readers workshop and teaching the proficient reader
strategies. However, I am meeting resistance with some of my administrators
who are unfamiliar with the method and are more accustomed to traditional
forms of instruction. They are willing to support me if I can provide data
that shows that readers workshop is effective.
Does anyone have any data you'd be willing to share (since because I haven't
implemented it yet - I don't have the data) or any anecdotals to share?
Thanks so much!
