Hey everybody
My list is at school... I have no idea where the original document came
from... found it in the basket of materials that a former literacy first grade
teacher gave me... that's what prompted me to post the question of "what is the
San Diego quick list" in the first place.... it has no title or publisher ...
just word lists with correlated DRA levels.... that much said... I still
found it a useful tool... one of my 3 team members said it did not help her at
all .... I'd love to know if it works for you. I will forward it on Tuesday
since I am not in session tomorrow. There was no rubric with it... I applied
the five finger rule: 1 error too easy (move up a level... )2-3 errors try
testing at that level, 4 errors (go slow -that level or the one below) and 5
errors move down a level.
So much for scientifically researched materials but still... if initial
testing situations are relying on a conversation between you and student and
some quick inventories this type of test fits right in......
Pam
