[MOSAIC] NWEA MAP

When the students come to 5th grade, we get their May results from 4th grade. In our state we give NECAP tests (reading, writing and math) in October, along with writing prompts at the beginning of the year and the QRI. Adding the NWEA tests into our fall would result in our spending even more time testing and less time teaching!

There is a lot of valuable information that can be used at the beginning of the year when we don't know our students very well yet. I feel that the information wouldn't be as useful at the end of the year (other than to check growth) as far as knowing your students, since at that point in the year we know them as well as we ever will. Interesting.

We test grades 3-5 once a year in the spring- reading, writing and math. Our middle school tests in the fall and spring.

Which subjects are tested?
I'm assuming you use this in grades 2-8?
