[MOSAIC] teaching affixes and word parts

 Hello,Sometimes I wonder why I went to college, I seem to get more info from these groups!Here I am again. I am trying to assist word recognition in an 11th grade student. I found some word play/word sort activities. These were recommended becasue of repeated exposure and fun. But I am finding that the knowledge (word parts and their meanings) just isn't there, so the games are a flop. I am trying to teach this knowledge, yet it is so boring. Is there an interesting way to teach this specific knowledge. Thanks again!! Denise
