[MOSAIC] just right books?

I think we're going to be a true "nation at risk" because of the nearly universal "overemphasis on fluency" that you're referring to.  If any of you've not read it yet, I can highly and "fervently" recommend reading Rereading Fluency by Beth Altwerger and others.
