Katrina, I also liked the Arthur Dorros book "Animal Tracks".  I used it with 2nd graders.  You can do alot with predicting, asking questions and making connections.  Some other books include those in the seroes by Lindsay Barrett George, as well as "Big Tracks, Little Tracks" by Millicent E. Selsam and"Footpints in the Snow" and "Footprints in the Sand" by Cynthia Benjamin.  ~Kecia
