[MOSAIC] Professional Development

We applied for the Fund for Teachers Grant.  It is a grant that is specifically for travel to grow professionally.  There have been quite a few grants given to teachers across my school district.  Some travel to other countries to learn another language to help with instruction even.  There are examples online and a team of teachers at my school got together and wrote it.  The link is www.fundforteachers.org if you're interested.  It was the first grant I helped to write and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Our school recieved a grant for the Lucy Calkins Summer Institute
(writing).  The only problem is we have not been accepted yet.  When we
called they said that there were so many applicants this year that it is
taking them awhile to get through them all.  Does anyone know of anything
that would be comparable just in case we don't get in?  We are still trying
to remain positive but want to have a backup plan just in case.  Thanks so
much!
