Double Sided Things

Things around us are double sided

Papers are one of the double sided things

Books are one of the double sided things

Erasers are one of the double sided things

Clothes are one of the double sided things

Tapes are one of the double sided things

Do you know what else is double sided?

People’s minds are

Even though they are smiling

They might be crying inside

Even though they are having fun and excited

They might be shouting and screaming for help inside of themselves

Even though they act tough and hard

They might be shivering and asking for help inside

Everything around us including you is all…

    You did very good on this poem and the poem is very deep
    I have a lot of friends that are double sided around my block
    they would act cool around me but when they talk to other people
    they would get angry and I would have to calm them down
    anyway I like your poem a lot and I think you should keep writing more poems like this.

    This poem reminds me of the Hannah Montana song “The Other Side Of Me”. Now every time that I hear that song I will think of your poem!

    I really really love this poem because it speaks out to you. This poem speaks out to me because it’s saying how people can look a certain way, but feel another way. This is a true poem because a lot of people that I know are like that.
