My Hope By EuiHyun

My grandfather passed away, but I still have hope. The hope to see him in heaven.Even if I was disconsolate,my grandmother encouraged me.She says we can see him in heaven, the paradise with no sorrow.I still have hope. The hope to see him again. My brother went away to America for a year, but I still had a hope. The hope to see him again at home.Even if I was sad,my parents encouraged me.They say I can see him next year.I still have hope. The hope to see him again. I was away to Korea for a month, but I still had a hope. The hope to see my to see my dear home and my family.Even if I got homesick,my aunt and my grandmother encouraged me.They say I can see them soon.I still had a hope. The hope to see them soon. My brother again went away for a month, but I still had a hope. The hope to see my brother again.Even if I was bored, my parents encouraged me.They said that I would see him soon.I still had a hope. The hope to see my brother again.

Jesus is Here by Ian

Through the sadness and hardship, Jesus was there.

As I sent out a prayer of the want to be forgiven,

He made me at peace.

My refuge and strength.

Healing love helped me carry on.

He has a place in the future for me like Moses in the desert.

Jesus was and is and always will be here.

Family Characteristics by Ian

My dad, as wise as an owl,

Not the least bit foul.

My mom, an innkeeper ready to provide,

Like a hen with her chicks, she’s always by our side

My sister a polite cherry blossom tree after the winter,

Ready to bloom and correcting like a teacher.

My brother as a newborn lion,

Fierce, growing and never cryin’.

Closely bonded with others near.

Getting over all his fear.

Autumn in its Peak by Ian

Autumn in its peak

Crackling leaves swirling around

Like a whirlwind.

CAJ Rocks by Ian

Can I ever forget that time,

Amazed and satisfied,

Just, as it stands.

Rain is singing of its welcomeness.

Overlooking no one,

Crazy people also

Kites fly no higher than it,

So what can beat CAJ!

My Family by YeJin

Loving

Kind
My Family
Understanding

Bold
My family
A strong touch, a loving touch, hugged me

A vivid sense of humor and laughter surrounding me
The intimacy of my family was first like a small flicker of light,

Getting bigger and bigger, never ceasing to stop
The comedy of my brother

The hidden softness of my mother

Best of all, the protector of my family, my sturdy dad, alert

Big heart and welcoming anyone in
I whispered
“I love my family.”

“Not exactly the way I want it, but I am more than satisfied.”
The Love and the strong relationship

Clearly shown

Specifically expressed

When I Discovered the Light by Misha

All alone and scared,

I have no protection,

I’m in a forest and wild animals claw at me,

I’m scarred and blood is running down my arms and legs,

Yet I cannot run away from the pain.

Then I see a light,

And I can almost smell the peace

And suddenly see across and feel that I can’t live without it.

I want to be loved,

To feel protected,

Safe and carefree,

Free of the pressure of accidentally letting my guard down

Of being hurt and ashamed of what I believe.

I suddenly feel a weight being lifted

Off my tired,aching shoulders

And I run toward the light.

As I reach the light

At once I am at peace

I relax for the first time in my life and I go to sleep

Knowing that I won’t be alone ever again

Everyday by Misha

Early in the morning,

“Roar, roar, roar!”

Snores my brother like a lion.

It’s almost 12!

“Buzz, buzz, buzz!”

Goes my mother,

Cooking, cleaning, flying about like a bee on a mission

Alert like a fox

With the eyes of a hawk

It’s 8:30

Time for bed for the little princess

“No, no, no!”

My sister screeches like an annoyed monkey

“ Movies, T.V, ice- cream . . .”

And falls asleep soundly

The Ride By Misha

I feel a rush through my veins

The crowd pushes me forward

There’s no turning back now

I see others come off clutching their stomachs

And I suddenly feel sick

But I am moved forward with the line

Suddenly the line is jolted forward and we are next

So we choose our seats

Our seatbelts are wrapped around us tightly

And I hold on as if my life depends on it

Before I can change my mind,

The roller coaster moves forward with a great lunge

I don’t dare look down but looking forward is not better

The ride suddenly falls

And I let out a piercing scream

While I clutch on the seat in front of me for dear life

But as the ride goes on,

I notice that my fear has been replaced by something

What was this incredible sensation?

Was it fever? Was it numbness from the cold?

No, it was an amazing rush of excitement running through me

Like life, up and down

Falling, yet getting back up

Fast, but graceful and smooth

I am as free as a bird in the sky

As weightless as a feather

Like a balloon, floating in the air

When the ride is over

Before I can stop myself

I am back in line

Just for another taste of the breathtaking sensation
