Welcome to the blog site for Mrs. Huch’s sixth grade language classes.
We are located at Clear Creek-Amana Middle School in Middle Amana, Iowa. My language students are broken into 3 different classes, with 23-28 kids in each class.
We have spent much of our year studying, reading, and writing free verse poetry. Each student selected a poem from their portfolios to publish on this blog. It may be the poem that was just completed, or one written at the beginning of the school year. Hopefully, you will see the “so what” that thrives in each of them.
We are excited to have people, especially other students, comment on our poems.
Please keep a few things in mind:
1-Our poetry is free verse poetry. It does not follow any specific rules; it is not supposed to rhyme.
2-While we welcome your comments, please note that if your comment is just “Hey, what’s up?” or something of little substance, it will not be approved.
3-We are always looking to become better writers. We like to hear what we do well, but are interested in suggestions. Please phrase comments as suggestions. Any comment that seems to be done with intent to be mean will not be approved.
