RC Night

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Beep Beep Beep
I wait forthe pause
Beep
we take off.

It is an obstacle course at first
There is striaght away
Then there is a trun
I make a circle.
There is a smaller straight away.

I feels very good
It gets my adrenaline pumping.

Just me and my dad
I think I am going to loose
Actually I know I will loose
Because
He Has a sytem that I can’t beat.
He gets in the top five all the time!

Out at Home Plate

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

As I crouch down
Waiting for the pitch.
The bases are loaded.
The pitch comes.
It’s a high one.
And I miss it.
The guy on 3rd base runs home.
I grab the ball and run too.
I get there first.
He slides.
And his foot hits my glove.
The umpire calls him out!
My team runs in from the field.
And we celebrate.

Riding My 4 Wheeler

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

It was a very
sunny day.

I went in the
garage and started the
4 wheeler.

I get on and I rode
out of the garage.

I rode as fast
as I can.

It was bumpy I turned as hard
as I could and I pushed the brake.

I pushed the gas and I was trying
to ramp but I missed.

The tire popped and I tried to
push it inside of the garage.

The next day I was caught.
I had to pay with my allowance.
It wasn’t that bad.
the next day was even better
because it was fixed.

I was happy that I wasn’t grounded.
I still could ride.

In My Dogs Eyes

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

When I look in my dog’s eyes,
I see wisdom of six years
of hunting.

When I walk away from him,
after I pet him, he looks at
me with blue puppy brown eyes.

When it’s time to let him
outside, there is a special
sparkle in them.

When I get mad and yell,
I see fear in them,
even  if I’m  not mad
at him.

When he sees another dog
I don’t have to look to tell
they are clouded with aggression.

In my dog’s eyes there are lots
of things.

The Winning Catch

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

I go out in to the field,
it’s the bottom of the sixth
there are two outs
and the bases are loaded
and we’re up.

Their best hitter is up for bat,
he smacks the ball
and it heads straight for me!

I quickly put up my glove
and the next thing I know
the ball is in my glove,
we’ve won the game!

Sunny bird

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Sunny
squawking parakeet
funny sometimes too

I give him some millet.
He comes in the palm of my hand
he eats right out of my hand

green and yellow all over
some patches of blue around his beak
black eyes

going in his food dish a lot
and he likes to play a lot too

When I Sled Down Water Hill

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

I sled down
water hill
Big blast of cold air
in my face
I can’t stop
myself.

Until the sled stops
I got so
much speed that
I jump
over the
road
it is all ice.

I jump so high and
far
I just about hurt
myself because.
I was a few
feet off of
hitting.
A big frozen ice ball
that would been
dreadful.

Now I have to
walk back
up the hill.
which is the
worse because
it’s a steep
hill.

The snow is
really deep that
makes it feel like
I have lead
boots on.

The Hallway

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

I’m walking
from class to class.
I see all the colorful shrits
of the rainbow.

People chatting,
locker doors slamming,
sounds like
bombs droping
from the sky.

Lots of gray,
blue,
occasionally
some black.
The three lonely
colors of the rainbow.

Snow

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

 Dust bunnies

Thousands more
wait to pour
from the clouds

I look from
the kitchen window,
I feel their
cold, find their
bitter-sweetness,
and wish these
bunnies
were warm blankets

But I forever
praise their cold,
and that
they’re distant
from
the world

Jail Bird

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

She’s always on the top,
or on Dad’s shoulder.
She doesn’t mind me,
but she won’t go on me.

Mom may not live with us,
yet she comes over all the time.
We try to get her to like Mom,
but she will only bite.

She likes me.
“Hello!” is always her loving greeting.
She can’t say, “I love you.”
but I know she does.

“Boomer,
please,
please don’t go in jail,”
I say
as she moves toward the inside of her cage.
