Silence by CareBear ST

May 7th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

Sitting there alone, waiting

Just waiting for no one to come

Wondering, how to go on with life

As if life is going to pass you right by

Crying isn’t the answer

It’s getting out into the open world

Silence isn’t the way to go

All there’s left to do is find friends

Is that so hard to do?

Unless you’d rather sit here crying in a corner

Your whole life

I think the life you have is awful

So follow me

I know what’s best

Loneliness by Cutie Queen

May 6th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

Sitting all alone

I don’t talk to anyone but me, myself, and I

Sometimes I cry

But only  in my mind

Waiting for someone to talk to

But when I talk no one listens

Sometimes when someone makes you feel bad

You hide in loneliness

   But when you’re lonely

It’s hard to get out

Death by Kaliski123

April 29th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

 Tear stricken

Ripping heart

Never to hear their laugh

Their cry

Never to see their smile

Their frown

Never to speak to them with a reply

With a giggle

Just tears

An empty heart

Longing to see them

Not until people cry over your own cold lifeless body

Friends by Kaliski123

April 29th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

The warming sensation of a friend

The feel of a cared heart

The fun

The laughter

The forgiving heart

To never lose a friend

The feel of their touch

To know you’re safe

Their embrace

They give you strength

Courage

They make you, you

Love by Kaliski123

April 29th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

Bring tears to eyes

But no sorrow

invited to this place

It pulses life into your heart

Never living till they come

Never seeing again

Blinded

Never hearing

Deaf

Never speaking

Muted

Never again

you Improved

Never to leave

Never wanting to

Sanctuary by Kaliski123

April 29th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

My sanctuary is not a warm, comfy place.

As cool, soft crystals lightly touch my face

This land is bright

And oh so filled with white

This land is better than the greatest dream

When life is damaged at the seams

People dream to fly

I could never imagine why

My dream is to be here forever

To just come here whenever

My life may messy

But not my sanctuary

I come outside

And have no need to go back

It is a cold mysterious land

But I need no helping hand I

know this world better than the color red

For I made this in side my own head

As snow falls in place

 I don’t want to think

I just look at the sky

That is oh so high

I sigh

I’m in perfection

Never to go back

Never to see a face again

In my sanctuary all alone forever

But that’s ok with me

Sadness by Kaliski 123

April 29th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

Sadness Poem

Warm salty water rushes down my face like a fountain.

My breathing picks up pace as my breathing turns to small, short huffs and puffs

My wet eyes close

For that moment I am trapped my bad memory for what feels like days.

I have no one to turn to.

I have no person who understands how I feel.

When sadness flows in all other necessities disappear

Hunger thirst and many other things disappear from my mind

I have no remedy to this sickness

It will forever come and go.

Alone by Kaliski 123

April 29th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

When the room is empty

When a pin dropping can be heard

When the world around me is vague

When I have not a face not a friend

When the light shimmering

Is my only company

I forget my surroundings

I forget something I see every day

My face

My voice

My laugh

My smile

My cry

My frown

In a room with only me

It seems hard to forget

But not impossible

My mind just freezes

In my alone state

All thing that go bump in the night appear

All thoughts of real world things that scare me come for the party

Murder, break-ins, horrible accounts

My loneliness turns to sheer horror

My head doesn’t take liking to this

Help!

Sos!

Then my door opens!

Who is it !?

It is my savoir!

My mom!

The Fortune Teller by Blue Jeans

You’re in pain

You can’t focus

What’s wrong?

You don’t deserve this

You can’t take it anymore

And you will not take it anymore

People are not treating you right

And you’re dealing with it

No! You can’t

You won’t

You mustn’t put up with it

Now you are angry

But, you don’t want to confront her

You are scared as a skunk

You can’t be afraid

“There is nothing to fear but fear itself”

If you don’t confront her

She will destroy you

You don’t want that

You’re taking this so easily like a slave

NO! You can’t

NOT anymore

Go Now

Don’t yell at her

That will only make the bull more angry

Now don’t hesitate

And don’t be late

At exactly 3:00 PM she will make her attempt

To threaten you

But, you will be ready

She does not know that

Don’t talk back

Outsmart her

Then she will STOP

NOW GO

Get some rest

And you will be ready

POOF

She disappears

Into the air

About our class

April 20th, 2010 by Ms. Wasserman

We are The Partying Personifications, an English class in Medford, Massachusetts. In case you haven’t heard of Medford, it is a few miles away from our capital city of Boston. We are famous for writing and having the most people singing “Jingle Bells.” The song, “Over the River and Through the Woods” was written here too. Amelia Earhart lived her and Paul Revere came through Medford. Our class loves cheerleading, basketball, baseball, soccer, figure-skating, hockey, bowling, swimming, and much more.    Our hobbies are playing video games, hanging out with friends, watching television, playing musical instruments, writing poetry, and reading stories. Our class plays many sports including: softball, cheerleading, basketball, baseball, swimming, football, skateboarding, gymnastics, track, and rollerblading. Our class enjoys the arts; we enjoy playing: electric guitar, drums, violin, electric drums, piano, acoustic guitar and bass guitar, drawing, theatre, clay modeling, and acting. The people in our class speak many languages: Italian, German, Portugese, Creole, Spanish, French and English.

If you haven’t visited Medford, Massachusetts, you should soon. Medford and the rest of Massachusetts is known for something; it is our accents. Some people think we talk weird, but people here probably think that people with other accents talk weird too. We hope you like our unique and different poems.
