Baseball

Gomez slams the ball out to left field
As Mauer runs for a steal
Harris grabs the ball and throws it to first
So Jetters out as the crowd goes into a burst
Peanuts are sold for a dollar each
And hotdogs are sold with a bags of chips a piece
The ump calls an out with a tag up on Span
So Gadrenhaire screams and calls a review again
The game is tied six all so its up to Morneu to hit it hard
The crowd gets there hopes up when he slams the ball
The crowd goes wild and so does Crede
So the game is won seven to six
what a game and what a hit!

Spring vs. Summer

The flowers wilt to grass,
the ice melts to water,
the lakes swim to pools,
when spring turns to summer.

The kids run instead of shiver,
the air melts instead of freezes,
the grass, emerald instead of mint,
when spring turns to summer.

the birds chirp strangely,
the butterflies more plentiful,
thr kittens more jolly,
when spring turns to summer.

How You Doin’?

How you doin’
I was sitting in my house
I was as nervous as a mouse
So I called my friend Brad
Whose experiences are what I had
I said:
“How do you ask out,
A guy who’s as shy as a trout?”
And he said
“You say:
‘How are you?
You remind me of a zoo
You’re so wild
Will you go out with me, Child”

I was confused by this
But I still had bliss
I questioned his stat
“I don’t think I can do that”
He sighed
“You want the easy way out?”
I said “Yes!”
With a sort of long pout
“Fine, this is what you say:
How you doin’?”
And you say that with a cooin’
I decided I could do that
“Thank you Brad!”
Then I asked out
The guy whose as shy as a trout
And it all started with
a little cooin’
“How you doin’?

Ode to Music

Treble clef
Bass clef
Flats and sharps
Music is everything
Music is life
Violin
French horn
Piano
Guitar
Music is beautiful
Music is me
Oh music
You’re wonderful
You make me move
You make me smile
I love you so!
You can be sad or happy
Beautiful or grotesque,
But no matter how you are, you’re the very best!
I listen to you every day
I hum you during school
I can’t stop
It’s too much fun
Music can be a crime
But the type of crime that’s good.
Oh music,
I love you so,
You make us cry
You make us laugh
Every emotion
Every sense
Music is life.

Two new products
Were created by me
They are much better
They are like a growing new tree
That’s why they’ll be forever popular
They’re like the flat sreen TV

Stairs
Stairs are a new invention
They allow you to travel
To the upper level of your house
They work the same way
As an elevator or a ladder
But they have more of a creak to them
CREAK!
Hmm, looks like someone is ready for a new invention!

Television
Television allows you to watch videos
Just as you would on your cell phone or computer
Except seated in a more comfortable chair
Television
Why don’t you watch some tonight?

You’ve heard of these before
Well, EX-CU-UUUSE ME!
I think they’ll sell galore!
My little inventions
Will take you down someday
Hopefully sometime before next May

Dear Merriam Webster.

Dear Merriam Webster,

I would like to thank you.
Your book has helped me a lot!
It helps me sound much smarter.
Many big words I have sought.
See, sought is one of them!
Sought is a darn good word.
These words, I really love em’.
Although some are absurd.
HAHA I did it again!
Absurd was the word.
Wow, big words are tiring.
Farewell I am cognizent of the fact that I am quite tired……..

Eagles

How can that eagle soar so high

Swoop down no longer in the sky

To the river where he grabs a fish
Soars back up for an evening dish.

Flames

Red, yellow, orange
Smoke fills the air.
Screen of gray and black.
No sign of light as the sun sets.
Flames blocking trees with red hot embers.
Waiting to be put out by cool blue water
Soon to be only crumbs as water hits the center.
From flames to ashes.
From ashes to dust.

My Eye

I wonder what life would be if I couldn’t see.

Would the flowers show to my left,

Or would the ocean be showing to my right?

What would happen if I didn’t have sight?

Could I see the sun’s light,

Or the seagulls taking a flight?

I wonder how life would be,

If I couldn’t see.

Moose

There was a Moose named Bruce
He learned to be a Masseuse
He used all his lotion
Cause he loved the ocean
And still his name was Bruce
