Testing poetry is like putting one big toe
In ice cold lake water just as the sun rises over the edge of the horizon.
You are chilled, mildly excited, and know the outcome will be irreversible.
So you type the words, spell check, format it, then hit send.
Cheers, alarms and bells may go off as confetti falls to your feet like fat snowflakes,
Tingles run up and down your spine as you see your name in the headlines or on T.V.
Or
After pressing send there is only your halted breathing and silence everywhere.
Time seems to stop as
No one dares to read it or care.
I wish I were not so confident Every question is bound to be answered by me
Just being in a room with me
will make you take a hit on your self-esteem
I stand in front of the class like a lion standing on its high rock If I were to trip, it would be in a bad dream
People always understand me
If I were to get teased, that someone would bow down to my knees
People are always watching ME.

Butterflies fly in the sky Unicorns will never die In my dreams all night.
Flowers such a beautiful sight, Giggles and laughs, no cries at all.
In La La Land you never fall, Squishy teddy bears hug so tight. Oh, what’s that in the big blue sky? Oh, I know it’s a kite.
