My brother
Really weird. He’s my
Only
Brother.
Every time I see him he makes me
Really happy.
There is no one better.
My brother
Always plays football. He’s
X-actly
What my family needed.
Energetic, so very energetic.
Lean, very, because he can’t eat milk.
Lazy, he’s also very lazy.
Sometimes he can be the funniest, but sometimes
The most
Annoying. He’s
Nosy and nasty, but we all still
Love him. He was the last to
Enter into this world. The baby, seven
Years after me, so he’s spoiled rotten.
home
Here and there I’ll travel
Over the hills and far away
Maybe my thoughts will unravel
Everywhere I stay
Home is where the heart is
Oh how I wish I could go back
My heart won’t call this
Elite house ‘Home’, what does it lack?
Hearty meals my mother once made
Old farmhouse feel
Magenta bedroom walls
Endurable noise from the streets
Here and there I’ll travel
Over the hills and far away
My heart is set on home
Every single day

Why would you do this to someone
Living life on a lie
Why would you do that
When you know it’s hurting me
So was I just another phase?
A chapter in life never to be read again?
So just a word of advice
Don’t ever do this to someone
Don’t live life on a lie
Just to make him feel on top of the world
You may think it’s for the better
But you actually make it worse
When you say you love him
And you really don’t
So just listen to what I have to say
Even though we will never talk again
Never do this to someone
Living life on a lie

Rosewood, cherry, ash and oak.
Happiness, love, and cheerful folk.
Community, friendship, peace, and quiet.
We don’t know how much we’re blessed.
Daffodils, tulips, in all their splendor.
Seven wonders of our world, and sights like Windsor.
Changing times, for a new tomorrow.
We don’t know how much we’re blessed.
Old great grand houses, the art of culture.
Magnificent birds, such as the vulture.
A flag for each country, a newborn’s cry.
We don’t know how much we’re blessed.
Music in the finest form.
Is the blessed wonder, like gold lukewarm.
You’ll find it in every blessed thing.
We don’t know how much we’re blessed.
Keep it close to your heart, and you will go far.
It will stay with you, like the great north star.
Our Generation
The secrets we all store
The dreams we don’t share
How I want to be with you
How you want to be with him
This is my chance
One last poem to be heard
To live life is like playing a game
Filled with fun and sometimes shame
Mistakes you regret
Mold you into a better person
But on the side
So much can come about
Things that…
Are worth worrying about
Death, Life, School,
Relationships, Family, and Friends
How do you fit it all in?
When will we figure it out?
With God on our side
We just pray and wait
What will happen in the end?
I guess it all depends
Be honest with yourself
Let alone others
Care for one another
Whether enemies or friends
You will need them
Time and time again
Together we stand, united we fall
Hand in hand as one person
Intertwined through hope and fate
Our destiny waits
Where will it end?
Nobody knows
Around and around it goes
Through twists and turns
So unexpected
We wait for our time
To shine and then go
It’s our generation
That should live life
To it’s fullest
Take risks and explore
Our time has come
To be the future
Past,
And present

Ole Grandpa Fitz
Was loved by all
Until the day that he went.
Ole Grandpa Fitz
Never complained
Lived each day the best that he could.
Ole Grandpa Fitz
Was once in the army
Married his commander’s secretary
Ole Grandpa Fitz
Used to tell me all the stories
About the old days in NYC
Ole Grandpa Fitz
Was proud of his kids
And the grandchildren he loved ’til the end
Ole Grandpa Fitz
Had big pride
Always took care of himself
Ole Grandpa Fitz
Was as strong as could be
Until those last few months
He left us this year
Can finally be healthy
And now he’s resting above.
The night he left
His preacher had visited
And knew that he was going home soon.
Ole Grandpa Fitz
May not be on earth
But we know he’s guiding from above.

Never good enough
Always walking on eggshells
Trying to please the ones surrounding her
Unable to afford mistakes
Never going to be the prettiest or the smartest
Nor the most athletic or artistic
Nor having the highest count of friends
But only pursuing to become something of value
To make someone proud and say “that’s her.”

We entered our first camp today,
Passing under the cracked & worn entry-way
We instinctively knew there was something wrong.
Clearly this place had been here far too long.
Far off in the distance I swore I could see,
a large building with a tall chimney.
There was also no resistance as we were told there would be,
Our forces had earlier wiped out all the Nazis, fortunately.
A few dead Germans were found, and to our surprise,
revolting, starving prisoners had brought about their demise.
These prisoners who we later found,
cautiously through the camp, roaming around,
Were far more frightening than any battle I saw ,
or, through the fog of war, watching your fellow soldiers fall.
They were so small and it almost seamed,
as though they were skeletons far worse than the ones I dreamed.
Their eyes were large, their clothes torn,
their arms like sticks, their hands so worn.
Disease was clearly spread all around,
the more living we discovered, the more dead we later found.
After my shock began to disappear
a horrible stench brought on a new fear.
It appears that while the Nazis were around,
they burned the dead bodies, and as we soon found,
In the rusty old building I earlier saw
next to furnaces I stared in awe.
It was around this moment I suddenly grew,
to understand why in this camp no breeze blew.
Beneath my feet what I thought was ground,
was in fact human ashes spread all around.
I instantly became terrified, which soon turned to rage.
How could one man hold another in a cage?!?!
How could so many be doing so much wrong?
How could we have waited to stop it for so long?
How could honest men look on,
as families once there, were suddenly then gone?
How did I miss those who cry,
liberated men who had tears in their eyes.
I had joined the war to stop the world’s greatest foe
but liberation has a price and sometimes it’s better not to know.
The experts guess that somewhere about
56,000 male Jews were killed by the Kraut.
Not to mention the countless rest;
children, women, prisoners, some who once wore the Nazi crest
Our commander says soon we’ll move on
I believe it to be a blessing, we’ve been here too long.
He says were moving on to our next camp, Eebensee.
I hope before we get there I get shipped back over sea.
So now we march into the waiting abyss
Tanks, rifles, Nazi, only praying that they’ll miss.
Yet somehow I go willingly away
A concentration camp is clearly a place no-one wants to stay.

Why do we sing,
if we only have a sad song?
Why do we try,
if we know we’ll only cry?
Why do we pray,
when it seems we’re never answered?
We know we must trust in the Lord.
Why must we feel,
the way that we do?
Why must we hope,
and then have to cope?
Why do we pray,
when it seems we’re never answered?
We know we must trust in the Lord.

The End
It’s a simple two words, which everyone has used
And so many ways in which it can be used.
When you first see it you generally think of the end of a movie or a book.
However if you think about it, it’s much more than that.
It’s a finished masterpiece
A great stopping point
A rule of life
A time to think back
A time to forgive
A time to start over
Or a time to move on
It’s the red light,
But at the same time, a turning point
With many different directions.
It is the end of a struggle
Or the end of a miracle
It is the beginning of a story as well
It is a new chapter
It is where everything goes
It’s what everyone has in common.
Wave goodbye it is The End
I can’t wait for the sequel.
The end
